Some time ago, the company launched OCZ SSD PCI-Express, with a capacity of 1TB. OCZ introduces this time like a giant disk of standard dimensions of 3.5 SATA II interface.

1TB of disk capacity will be the largest in a series of Colossus – will also be available to smaller and cheaper disks. All the while will be characterized with a speed record at 220MB/si read 250MB / s. They consist really of two SSDs in RAID 0, and closed in black finish which is a standard hard drive size 3.5.

Colossus series on the market has already appear for 3 weeks at the following rates:

* 256GB – $ 650
* 512GB – $ 1200
* 1TB – $ 2200

So far, these discs apparently will not be cheap, but perhaps over time their prices will be closer to a decent level and then remains a matter of time when will supplant the standard HDD.
