This is a sample of a weekly news program I created in the 1989-1991 timeframe for broadcasting on the Discovery channel. It also aired on a Greek channel. It was produced in my garage/basement! Eighteen episodes were produced.

Channel X Computer News
Sorry for the low video quality. I had to compress the digital version of this video so I could email it to myself from school. I made this video my Jr. or Sr. year of high school using a cheap digital camera from my school and no lighting or audio equipment – not even a tripod. It was processed on a 1 Ghz Emac using imovie on Mac Os 9.8. I have to say that the imovie back then is MUCH simpler than the imovie of today (way to go, Apple) but even so, I think this was a pretty good achievement. The people in the movie are members of (at that time) my church’s high school youth group. Note: This video was made as part of a public high school educational project. Any content qualifies as fair use.
Sample Technology Channel Episode
In 1989 Europe didh’t have much in terms of Computer news on TV. In the US, Computer Chronicles (a co-production of KCSM and WITF) offered a weekly 25 minute show. I thus started The Technology Channel, a program of the European News Network, a company I created in Dublin Ireland.
